Work Conditioning

Work conditioning is appropriate for patients who have completed acute therapy and still lack the conditioning necessary to complete job functions safely and effectively. The program uses
strengthening and conditioning to restore functional ability with job-specific tasks. The programs are individualized, based on deficits found in comprehensive evaluations of each patient and compared to the physical demands of their job indicated on their job analysis.

If an employer chooses, programs can take place during an employee’s work shift or between shifts, making it efficient and practical for the injured worker.
